Appeal Process

How to File an Appeal to Compete in The Junior Olympics and Summer Nationals Championships

Each January and June, we are faced with the same challenges regarding appeals by athletes to the Junior Olympics and Summer Nationals championships. We have attached the official appeal procedure to the United States Fencing Association National Championships, divided into two parts. Please make sure to thoroughly read PART ONE to ensure that you are eligible to file an appeal.

If you meet the criteria established in Part One, you can continue on to PART TWO, which gives you the mechanics for how to file an appeal. Please make sure you meet the guidelines of Part One before sending in an appeal, otherwise your appeal will be denied and you will be wasting your time as well as the USFA's time.

You can download the Appeal Procedure PDF document here.

If you have questions that are not covered in this material, you can contact the USFA directly at info@usfencing.org. You can also send email to tournaments@fencersclub.com for insight into the appeals process, however please be aware that any advice dispensed through the Fencers Club is not binding on the USFA.
